'Threeie' has become Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

For those who wanted Banjo Kazooie 3 to rehash memories of the Banjo games of N64 past, you might want turn the other cheek. But for those were desiring some fresh innovation to come from the Xbox 360's most desired platformer (*me me me!*), Rare may have just answered your prayers.Now offically penned as Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the newest game in the Banjo franchise will be introducing some groundbreaking gameplay mechanics and alot of radical changes to the franchise. IGN has recently posted up a feature detailing all of the variables that Nuts & Bolts is bringing to revive and reinvent the franchise. Full breakdown of the article after the jump.
- The basic platforming (or, controlling Banjo) seems to generally remain the same as they were eight years ago. You will have a similar moveset, you'll be able to use Mumbo and Kazooie to push you foward, and yes; you'll be able to collect Jiggies. At least some of the franchise's most familiar roots are remaining.
-The world of Nuts & Bolts is the largest ever constructed by Rare. And VIva Pinata's Pinata Island (or whatever the hell it was called) was pretty damn big.
-Most of the game's platforming will be based around the search for the globes and what they unlock. Finding a globe results in unlocking new levels and other goodies, which is where the game starts straying away from BK's history.
-Each globe has a new level, and each respectively comes with distinct and rather artifical designs. Each globe offers new challenges and more importantly allows you to find new vehicle parts and building blocks. What in the world is that you ask?
-*insert user creativity here* This is where the radical changes that Nuts & Bolts offers come into action. With each of the previously mentioned parts, you can begin building vehicles. Most of the parts come in the forms of blocks that make up each of the individual parts (which includes seats, fuel tanks, design features, etc.). Kind of like playing with Leogs, but except you're creating boats, planes, gadgets, seats, wheels, tires, tanks, weapons, safety belts and pratically anything else that you can think of that will enhance your platforming experience. The sky truly is the limit here. You will also have to take the game's quirky phsyics into account depending what kind of vehicle your creating. Pretty amazing. You will need to design different vehicles with different features to pass levels and progress through the game.
-The game will come with co-op and an online multiplayer in some form.
-Vibrant and beautiful levels.
-Games leave the gamer's replay value in the fate of their own creativity: this game can be endless for a lot of people who can take control of the vehicle editor.
Alot to digest, and alot is coming from Rare rather quickly about this new title. It's great to see the Banjo franchise back in action, and I'm very excited about what's coming this Fall.
