New Dashboard update around the corner... Including motion sensing?
by John Meadowcroft May 14th 2008 1:20 PM EDT5 Comments
Aaaaah Spring time, the start of something fresh and new the world over. It's also a good time for the gaming industry to have a rest, apart from this year that is (thanks
very much GTA). But it's also a time for the rumour mill to enter overdrive, and today's rumour is a beauty.Kotaku today received a list of - albeit unconfirmed - updates for the Xbox Dashboard. It was supposedly forwarded by an Internal source at Microsoft and includes up to 80 different tweaks and additions. Some of them are pretty small, such as increasing the character limit for text messages between friends, but some of them are potentially Gargantuan. Motion sensing anyone?
Yes, one of the updates cites "Calibration options for motion sensor devices" which suggests a lot of bandwagon hopping going on at Microsoft. But the possibility of playing Bioshock with a new self styled Microsoft-mote is just too much for me to handle. Will you accept these changes as much as I will? Or are you hopeful that they're completely and utterly bogus?
