Microsoft brings in 240 million from Xbox Live

Microsoft may spend millionms for exclusivity rights, but they take it in stride as it's all part of a master plan. A plan that has helped them achieve about a quarter of a billion dollars since The Marketplace's inception in 2005. $180 million of that has been in the past year, which points to some serious exponential growth. And with myriad of fresh content hitting the update this Fall; this cash cow has only just begun to bloat. Speaking of the update, many today realized premature joy as a mandatory console update hit Live. Simply looking at the interface will show no change as it is merely some back end coding to help transition the work coming later on. Any left with a glimmer of hope by something new can look to Major Nelson's blog for the final blow.
